The Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has launched a student support program aimed at providing essential educational materials to brilliant but needy students within the constituency.

The initiative was unveiled during a brief ceremony where the MP presented newly sewn school uniforms to selected final-year students preparing for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

According to the MP, the beneficiaries were identified during a monitoring exercise of the mock examinations he sponsored.

Speaking at the brief ceremony, Mr. Acquah expressed his motivation behind the gesture, stating that although the students are just days away from completing school, it was necessary to boost their confidence ahead of the exams.

“…I still found it necessary to boost their confidence,” he noted.

He highlighted that the newly launched student support program would continue beyond this donation, targeting brilliant but underprivileged students.

Mr. Acquah stressed that the program would provide various forms of educational assistance, including uniforms, stationery, and other school-related needs.
