Fashion icon and presnter, Monna Gucci, has sparked controversy after telling social media personality, Efia Odo that she’s not a celebrity.
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Monna Gucci emphasized that Efia Odo is merely a “very good social media influencer” who has been “entertained” by Ghanaians.
According to her Efia Odo’s claim to fame doesn’t equate to being a celebrity.
“What have you done for Ghana, and what are we celebrating about you?” she questioned.
Monna Gucci drew comparisons between Efia Odo and other public figures like Fella Makafui, stating that if President Mahama were to call on Efia Odo, she wouldn’t have much to offer. In contrast, she noted that Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa recognizes Fella Makafui’s contributions to Ghana through her vocational training workshop for kids.
“Incase President Mahama calls out for Fella Makafui, Hon. Aboakwa can testify that she’s putting a workshop to train kids who wants to learn vocations and other things,” she mentioned
She criticized Efia Odo for focusing on her personal life, saying,
“Apart from dating musicians and breaking up with them, creating podcasts telling people how you broke up… apart from that, what do you do for Ghana?” She questioned
