Eid al-Adha: MP for Akuapem South sends warm message to Muslim community

The Member of Parliament for the Akuapem South Constituency, Lawrencia Dziwornu, has extended her warm wishes to the Muslim community as they observe this year’s Eid al-Adha.

In a statement issued on Friday, June 6, 2025, she expressed her solidarity and admiration for the values that define the sacred Islamic celebration.

The MP commended Muslims in her constituency and across Ghana for their commitment to the principles of faith, sacrifice, and unity that the festival represents.

She described Eid al-Adha as a powerful reminder of spiritual devotion and compassion for others, especially in these times when peace and kindness are most needed.

“I extend my heartfelt wishes for a joyful and peaceful Eid al-Adha to our Muslim brothers and sisters during this sacred celebration,” she said.

Madam Dziwornu also highlighted the spiritual significance of the occasion, calling attention to the enduring lessons of the Islamic tradition.

According to her, Eid al-Adha serves as a call for all people, regardless of faith, to reflect on values such as obedience, humility, and generosity.

“This holy festival reminds us of the power of faith, obedience, and selflessness,” she stated in her message.

The MP’s statement encouraged the Muslim community to continue to be a source of light and inspiration through their actions.

She prayed for abundant blessings, renewed hope, and the courage to pursue peace, justice, and kindness in all their endeavors.

“As we mark this occasion, may it bring you abundant blessings, renewed hope, and the strength to continue building a more compassionate and just society,” she added.

Her message comes at a time when the Muslims community around the world are celebrating the year’s Eid al-Adha on Friday, June 6, 2025.

 

The MP used the occasion and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting all religious communities in Akuapem South and promoting interfaith harmony.

She urged all residents of the constituency to join hands in celebrating the values of togetherness and mutual respect that Eid al-Adha symbolizes.
