The match got off to an astonishing start for Asante Kotoko, with Kwame Opoku getting on the end of a well-delivered Lord Amoah free kick to open the scoring in the 17th minute.
However, Golden Kick responded strongly, and Bless Ege leveled the scores with a sumptuous free kick in the 32nd minute.
But just before the full-time whistle, Asante Kotoko were awarded a penalty after a clash between Kwame Opoku and Golden Kick goalkeeper Kelvin Saaba.
Opoku himself stepped up and coolly converted the spot kick to seal the victory for the Porcupine Warriors – giving them a record 10th MTN FA Cup title and a ticket to play in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup.
