Tax abolition has no impact on Ghanaians – Kade MP to gov’t

MP for Kade, Alexander Agyare

The Member of Parliament for Kade Constituency, Alexander Agyare, has criticized the current administration over the manner with which it is handling the recent scandal involving ghost names at the National Service Authority (NSA).

He described it as a calculated attempt to tarnish the image of former government appointees.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show with Saddick Obama, the MP emphasized that while anyone found culpable in the scandal must face the full rigors of the law, the process must be devoid of bias and political witch-hunting.

“We cannot build a just society if the rule of law only works for some people. If someone is guilty, they must be punished but the government must not be selective in applying the law,” he stated.

Mr. Agyare referenced several cases from the previous administration, which he claims have been quietly dropped since the current government took over.

He believes this selective approach to justice is evidence of a broader agenda to persecute certain individuals.

He also accused the current administration of engaging in corruption, favoritism, and nepotism in various sectors of the economy just months into power.

He stressed, yet none of these alleged misconducts have been addressed or investigated.

He urged the government to be responsible and transparent, warning that power is not permanent.

“Governments change. What matters is how you lead with integrity and fairness when you are in power,” he added.
