The Head of Corporate Communications for the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Chris Dugan, has stated that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will be in opposition for a very long time due to their mismanagement while in government.
He said the eight years of administration under then-President Akufo-Addo and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was nothing to write home about.
Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, he emphasized that nothing positive was achieved under the just-ended NPP government.
According to him, the NPP government caused severe pain, affecting both the citizens and the country at large, leaving the economy in a “junk state.”
Mr. Dugan, however, indicated that the able leadership of President John Dramani Mahama and his Finance Minister, Cassiel Ato Forson, has seen the economy placed in good hands, making beneficial strides.
He also accused the NPP of playing mind games on the citizens, while ending up engaging in corruption and corruption-related activities.
To this effect, Mr. Dugan expressed that, the NPP would remain in opposition for quite a number of years due to the bad precedent they left behind.
