Communications team member for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abdullaih Sakra Alhassan, has stated that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s chances of winning the next presidential election are slim and unfavorable.

He said this on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, on Angel Morning Show (AMS) highlighting the reasons why Dr. Bawumia, who led the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into the 2024 elections, is not in a position to win the next presidential election.

According to him Dr. Bawumia does not exhibit good ethics and principles, which is the key to defeating opponents.

‘’Bawumia will not win the election against any presidential candidate because he lacks integrity, and the way to win election is through integrity.’

He emphasized on how Ghana’s period of stability, growth and peace over the past years was pushed to the brink due to Dr. Bawumia’s bad governance leaving the country and citizens in hardship and crisis.

‘’Ghanaians haven’t been through such difficulties for the past 50years but because of his mismanagement we nearly lost our lives’
’
He criticized his intelligence based on his governance and how Ghanaians took him by his word, but his irregularities drove them away.

‘’He claims he is an academic wizkid and we believed him but his misconduct within the past 8years exposed him.’’

Mr. Alhassan indicated that Bawumia’s lack of commitment to the welfare of the people disqualifies him from holding a leadership position in the country.

He added “such a person cannot lead the country because he is not there for the people,” he asserted.
