Brong Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe Abronye, has responded to a purported referral to the party’s Disciplinary Committee.

According to him, he only became aware of the supposed invitation through social media.

In a statement dated Wednesday, June 25, 2025, Abronye stated categorically that he has not been officially served with any such letter.

“It has come to my attention a letter dated June 24, 2025, purporting to come from the NPP Headquarters and signed by the General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong.

“I must state that I have not received any official communication from the party inviting me to any disciplinary committee,” parts of the statement said.

He indicated further that, based on the content of the letter circulating online, he would not honor any invitation to appear before the committee.

He questioned the credibility of the NPP’s Disciplinary Committee and dismissed its authority, describing it as “Kangaroo.”

“I must state on record that I will not appear before any ‘Kangaroo’ Disciplinary Committee,” Abronye expressed.

He vowed not to yield to what he described as an attempt to silence him through intimidation, and reaffirmed his intention to continue speaking out on issues affecting the party.
