The Member of Parliament (MP) for Awutu Senya West Constituency, Gizella Agbortui-Tetteh, has urged all political parties, including the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to unite in fostering development across the country.
According to her, Ghanaians must cease using politics to obstruct and undermine the government, as this could hinder the nation’s progress.
She emphasised that citizens should come together to set aside their differences and strive for a common objective.
She made these remarks during the National Thanksgiving Service at Awutu Adawukwa, with the theme: “Reflect, Renew and Reset the Nation.”
“Whether you support the New Patriotic Party (NPP) or the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as we sit here thanking God, we’re one.
“At a certain time, when we start campaigning again, we engage in misunderstandings and noise, but ultimately we arrive at the same point as one, because wisdom does not dwell in one person.”
She added, “So our vision in the next six months is to begin implementing all the government programmes in our district here. When the government introduces its initiatives, as an MP, I also have my programmes that I must implement.”
Furthermore, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Nyamekye Kalala Eghan, highlighted the ongoing developmental projects, stating that the current government is bringing progress to the doorsteps of every Ghanaian community.
