A heart-wrenching incident has been reported from Wamfie, the District capital of Dormaa East in the Bono Region, where a newborn baby girl was found dead on a refuse dump site.
According to Oteng Albert, the Assembly Member for the Wamfie West Electoral Area, the grim discovery occurred in a locality known as “Estate” within his electoral area.
“I had a call from my constituents urging me to come and witness a strange occurrence.
When I arrived at the scene, what I saw was a baby girl wrapped in white lace, lifeless,” he recounted with evident sorrow.
He implored community members to report anyone they suspect of involvement to the police for immediate investigation and action.
Health officials and police have since cordoned off the area, ordering that the deceased body be treated with the utmost respect and care.
