The Accra Regional Police Command says it is prepared to provide adequate security for the Ablekuma North Parliamentary re-run scheduled for Friday, 11th July 2025.

The Electoral Commission has designated nineteen polling stations within the constituency for the re-run.

In a statement signed by Superintendent Juliana Obeng, Head of Public Affairs for the Accra Region, the Police assured residents of their readiness to maintain order throughout the electoral process.

“The Accra Regional Police Command wishes to assure the public of its preparedness to provide adequate security before, during, and after the Parliamentary Re-run,” the statement said.

Emphasising its readiness, the statement said Police personnel would be deployed to all locations to ensure peace and lawfulness.

Also, officers will also be stationed along key traffic routes to monitor vehicular and pedestrian movements, and strategic barriers will be mounted to restrict unauthorized access.

The Police Command appeals to the public to cooperate fully with security personnel, observe electoral rules, and help maintain a peaceful atmosphere throughout the election.
