Presidential hopeful and leader of the Union Government, Akwasi Addai Odike, has dismissed President John Mahama’s “Resetting Ghana” agenda as nothing more than empty rhetoric.

According to him, the current state of affairs in the country shows no meaningful transformation to justify any claims of a national reset.

Odike argued that there is no wave of change under the current administration to support the notion of resetting Ghana.

He insisted that the challenges confronting the nation remain largely unresolved, making the slogan appear superficial and disconnected from reality.

“Mr. Mahama, I’m telling you that the resetting agenda and whatever sloganarian you call it, from now on, we have realized that nothing is changing and nothing is going to change as well, ” Odike said on the Angel Morning Show (AMS), Monday, July 14, 2024

His comments stemmed from the violent incidents that marred the recent Ablekuma North parliamentary re-run last Friday, July 11, 2025.

The politician who doubles as a businessman stressed that the chaos at the polls is evidence that nothing has changed despite the Stateman’s bold slogans.

Expressing further disappointment about leadership in Ghana, Odike accused the incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC) and opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) of politically failing the country.

He also said that their politicization of issue-based matters in every aspect of the country is doing more harm than good.

“If you take a careful look at the activities and affairs of the NDC and NPP, they only score political points and further go ahead to juxtapose the two with equalization and defend what is indefensible.”
