Former Chief of Staff under the Akufo-Addo administration, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare has called on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to unite in order to secure victory in the 2028 general elections.

Speaking to the press on the sidelines of the NPP’s National Delegation Conference at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, she emphasized on the need to put aside their differences and work together as one.

“What I will tell members of the NPP is that, unity is all we need, we know that if we unite, God willing this 2028, all Ghanaians will come to realise that we deserve to come to power again,” Akosua Frema said on Saturday, July 19, 2025.

She added that, the conference will serve as a platform for leaders to connect with delegates, exchange ideas and make informed decisions that will benefit the party.

Madam Frema urged party members to note that despite the absence of the former Presidents of Ghana (John Agyekum Kuffour and Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo), their supportive messages have been conveyed, and the conference is expected to hold in a peaceful and orderly manner.

“Although President Kuffour and President Akufo-Addo will not be present, they have given us their goodwill messages and we will deliver them; the conference will be successful,” she reiterated.
