Controversial media personality, Afia Schwarzenegger, has reacted to a defamation suit filed against her by the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi.
She stated categorically she can not pay the GH¢10 million Ghana cedis in damages that the plaintiff, who is also the National Communications Officer of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), is seeking.
Speaking in a live video session on her social media handles, Afia Schwarzenegger dismissed the complaints’ demands in the suit and questioned his moral standing.
“Sammy, you claim you are a lawyer. The law says he who comes with equity must come with clean hands,” she said.
She added that even if the court ruled in Gyamfi’s favour, she has no assets or means to fulfil the court’s financial order.
“If you want me to pay the 10 million Ghana cedis, I can’t pay because I don’t have anything – not even properties. So congratulations, go and win the case,” she stated.
