The government has since ordered flags to fly at half-mast in honor of the victims.

“The President and the government extend condolences to the families of our comrades who died in service to the country. All flags are to fly at half-mast until further notice,” announced Chief of Staff Julius Debrah.

Further details regarding the cause of the crash are expected following investigations by authorities.
