A Nigerian national and phone dealer was found dead early Tuesday morning, August 12, 2025, under the Kasoa overpass in the Awutu Senya East Municipality.
According to Angel News’ reporter Opanyin Darko, the deceased had complained of stomach pains after eating. However, under mysterious circumstances, he later succumbed to the pains and was discovered lifeless beneath the overpass.
Friends and passersby who gathered at the scene suspect foul play, citing possible poisoning as a likely cause of death although the cause of his death is yet to be established.
The body has been deposited at the Police hospital mortuary for autopsy, while investigations continue to determine the exact cause of death.
The Municipal NADMO Director, Nash Nyande Adams, confirmed the incident to Angel News, describing the deceased as someone who deals in phone accessories and related business.
He also indicated plans to hand over the deceased’s body to his family.
“We have preserved the body at the police mortuary while awaiting the family to claim it. So far, that is the best course of action,” he told the reporter.
