Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has assured the people of Akwatia that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will deliver meaningful development if they entrust the parliamentary seat to the party in the upcoming by-election.

Leading an NDC delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Oseawuo Divisional Chief, Daasebre Nyarko Asumadu Appiah, at Akyem Wenchi, Mr. Debrah said education and access to water remained top priorities for government.

“Issues of education are very important, so I will plead with the chiefs to consider selecting about three representatives to join us in Accra for a major meeting,” he appealed.

He further explained that the Jubilee House belongs to all Ghanaians. “We are not there because of our looks, but because of you. It is also your home,” he stressed.

According to him, a meeting is scheduled for Tuesday at the Jubilee House where ministers and departmental heads will engage chiefs from the constituency to hear first-hand the challenges confronting residents.

“By the time the chiefs return here on Wednesday, you will see that we have truly spoken on your behalf,” he assured.

Mr. Debrah, speaking on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, thanked the people for their support and promised that the NDC would not disappoint.
