Naymote Partners for Democratic Development, a Liberia based Organization that has for the past 10 years been training Young Political Leaders across Africa, has established a strong collaboration with the MILLS Institute for Transformational Leadership Development and ElectionsConsult Africa, to develop a comprehensive program to make Ghana an additional hub of African youth political development.

In a meeting in Accra on, Tuesday, August 26, 2025, Mr. Eddie D. Jarwolo, Executive Director of Naymote Partners for Democratic Development, met with Samuel Koku Anyidoho, Founder & President of the MILLS Institute as well as Mr. Asante Kissi, Executive Director of ElectionsConsult Africa.

The Young Political Leadership School Africa (YPLSA), established in Liberia almost a decade ago, is a well-rooted program that consciously/deliberately mentors carefully selected youth across Africa to empower them with the requisite knowledge and skills required to become effective political leaders.

Establishing the collaborative network, Mr. Jarwolo, Mr. Anyidoho and Mr. Asante Kissi, discussed very detailed issues on the roadmap for inaugurating the Ghana Chapter, as well as the Teaching Modules to be implemented.

“Through this collaboration, we seek to create context-specific training modules that empower young people in Africa to engage constructively in politics, strengthen democratic culture, and contribute to accountable governance” Mr. Anyidoho told the media after the meeting.

On his part, Mr. Jawolo said “I am excited to be able to partner with my Ghanaian colleagues whom I have worked with on several platforms across the African Continent. Finally being able to grow YPLSA out of Liberia into Ghana is very exciting for me because our aim is to create Chapters in many more West African countries in particular”

According to Mr. Asante Kissi, an Elections Expert, “our aim is to ensure that we impart the right knowledge to as many of our youth as possible so that they are well-equipped and cannot be manipulated”.

The network has put in place a comprehensive working plan and are geared up to give true meaning to today’s meeting.

“Many more of such meetings are in the pipeline and as and when we add more layers of blocks to the foundation we will definitely bring it to the attention of the media” Mr. Anyidoho said.

All three Experts had this to say; “we are very excited about this project and the future certainly looks very bright”.
