Ghanaian actor, Sumsum Ahuofe and socialite Sexy Afrah have been drawn into a new wave of controversy after the actor threatened to invoke a curse on her over comments she recently made.
Speaking in an interview with Papa Jay on Poleeno Multimedia on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, Sumsum warned that he would invoke curses using a bottle of schnapps, eggs and Bible if Afrah continues to dismiss claims that they once had an intimate relationship.
Restating his claims earlier, Sumsum stated that he and Afrah first met in Obuasi, where they shared a long evening conversation and later agreed to pursue a relationship. He alleged that Afrah visited him the next day at his hotel, where they became intimate.
“I met her first in Obuasi and we had a long conversation. That night, after she came to me at the hotel and we had sex,” he explained.
According to him, several celebrities, including musician Patapaa, were also lodged at the same hotel and were aware of Afrah’s visit.
The actor insisted that his decision to go public was not to brag about their alleged encounter, but to respond to what he described as offensive comments Afrah made during her recent appearance on the Delay Show.
Sumsum revealed that he felt deeply hurt by Afrah’s denial, particularly because he had previously defended her when socialite Archipalago made disrespectful comments about her.
He concluded by warning that should Afrah continue to deny their past relationship and tarnish his image, he would have no choice but to back his claims with a curse.
“If Afrah tries to deny my relationship her and tarnish my image I will curse her and I mean it,” he said.
His threats come shortly after Afrah’s interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso (Delay) aired on Saturday, August 24, 2025, where she strongly dismissed suggestions that she had ever been romantically involved with the Kumawood actor.
