‘BuzStopBoys’ dedication to cleaner environment worth emulating – Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has lauded the dedication and commitment of the BuzStopBoys in championing a clean and secure environment.

Mr. Mahama observed that the unwavering commitment of the BuzStopBoys, an advocacy group for a cleaner environment must be exemplified.

The President’s clarion call follows the relaunch of the National Sanitation Day on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

He used the opportunity to acknowledge the BuzStopBoys’ hard work and donated sanitation tools to support their efforts.

These included 200 wheelbarrows, 300 shovels, 300 brooms, 300 pairs of hand gloves, and a supply of standing brushes.

In a post on Facebook on Sunday, September 7, the President explained that his gesture was aimed at ensuring the group’s effort toward Ghana’s sanitation are encouraged.

“This contribution aims to bolster their commendable efforts in championing sanitation initiatives across the country. Their dedication to fostering a cleaner environment must be exemplified,” the post said.

According to him, the National Sanitation Day should be seen as more than just an event, noting that it is a renewed call to action for every Ghanaian to take ownership of the environment.

“Let us all commit to maintaining clean communities, not just on designated days, but every day. Let’s build on this momentum!” the President added.

Mr. Mahama stressed with an appeal to all and sundry to join hands and actively participate in keeping our surroundings clean.
