Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has sent a delegation to formally invite President John Dramani Mahama to the final funeral rites of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
The royal funeral is scheduled to take place from September 15 to 18, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
The delegation, led by Amoamanhene Nana Agyenim Boateng I, presented the invitation during a courtesy call on President Mahama at the Presidency in Accra.
President Mahama extended his deepest condolences to the Asantehene and the people of Asanteman on the passing of the Asantehemaa, describing it as an immense loss.
He assured the delegation of his commitment to attend the funeral and pay his final respects.
Nana Konadu Yiadom III passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 98.
