The GoldBod initiative can be perfectly said to be a Regulatory Authority in the area of Gold Mining activities and compliance regimes in Ghana.

One of the key priority areas of the GoldBod initiative is to predominantly create a single service vehicle for purchases, sales, and exporting of gold in Ghana.

GoldBod is interested in creating a convenient platform and suitable environment for mining activities in Ghana in line with standard mining laws and approval regimes.

Another priority interest is ensuring responsible Mining techniques, appropriate mining tools and equipment are applied at designated zones (areas and locations) across Ghana, and offenders will be discouraged and punished in accordance with law.

The sources of gold purchases platforms by GoldBod are those of small-scale and responsible community mining companies and others. Over time, gold produce outside of these spheres will be tagged and flanked as inappropriate, and penalties will be applied to the companies and individuals involved.

There are benefits of meeting international and regional standards in the area of Gold purchases and exportation of same, and GoldBod taskforce plus the authorities will be working very hard to meeting all established relationship requirements at both local and international levels.

Training of miners at various levels, and playing a supportive role in the purchase of appropriate Mining tools and equipment, adopting the right technologies by miners is also an important role and responsible to be embarked on by GoldBod Authorities.

Overall,
Whilst much short-term gains are palatable and suitable to sustaining the aspirations, goals and objectives of the GoldBod initiative, the long-term desire and commitment is to ensure safer Gold Mining atmosphere in Ghana, where friendly ecosystem, cleaner environment, and profitable do not override the national agenda of protecting water (lakes and rivers) bodies, preserving green farming communities, and avoidance of unsafe mining practices, processes and processes that destroys human lives.

We wish the GoldBod taskforce and the authority best wishes and pray it works well in the greater interest of the State, Ghana. All the best, guys.
