A woman, believed to be in her 40s, was tragically crushed to death by a cargo truck at Kejetia, near the Acheamfour market.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred on Wednesday, October 8, at about 6 p.m.
She explained that, the truck was heading towards Kejetia from K.O. when it suffered a brake failure, colliding with traders and other individuals who had come to shop.
The eyewitnesses confirmed that the deceased met her untimely death when the truck knocked her down and dragged her for approximately 30 metres.
“We quickly rushed her to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Emergency Unit, but she was pronounced dead on arrival,” an eyewitness said.
