Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, will embark on Asian tour in November, as part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The team is scheduled to face Japan and South Korea in two high-profile friendlies aimed at sharpening their competitive edge ahead of the global tournament.
The first encounter will see Ghana take on Japan in the 2025 Kirin Challenge Cup on Friday, November 14, at the Toyota Stadium in Aichi.
Both nations have already secured qualification for the World Cup and will use the fixture as preparation.
Four days later, the Black Stars will lock horns with South Korea on Tuesday, November 18, in another test match.
The fixture rekindles memories of their dramatic 3-2 win over the Koreans at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, where Mohammed Kudus netted twice and Mohammed Salisu added another to secure a memorable victory.
Coach Otto Addo is expected to use the Asian tour to evaluate player performances and ahead of Ghana’s fifth World Cup appearance, set to take place across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
