Police have arrested the Senior Pastor of Graceland Sanctuary, Major Wisdom Nutsugah, along with two junior pastors from the same church, over alleged ritual activities in Buduburam, located in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

According to reports, Major Wisdom Nutsugah, the founder and pastor, kidnapped six okada riders from Buduburam after inviting them to his house for a meeting.

The pastor had previously purchased motorbikes for the young men and accused them of not making sufficient sales, which prompted the invitation.

Upon their arrival at his residence, the pastor locked the victims in a dark room and threatened them. He ordered one of the junior pastors to retrieve a pot containing blood from a secret room.

In a shocking account, the pastor reportedly forced the victims to consume toffees he had taken from the blood-filled pot.

The victims explained that the pastor threatened to harm anyone who disobeyed his orders, compelling them to strip and attempting to mutilate them.

One of the riders managed to escape and alerted the police, who subsequently rescued the others. The police arrested Major Wisdom Nutsugah and his two junior pastors, who are currently in custody at the Kasoa Division Police Command.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Dogbe, the assembly member for the Buduburam Electoral Area, condemned the incident and called on the police to conduct a thorough investigation.

He stated, “I had a call at work that this is what has happened as youths (okada riders) in Buduburam, and when I asked, they said a pastor has kidnapped six children, their motor payment and others.”

He further expressed his disbelief regarding the pastor’s actions, saying, “What actually happened is they said the pastor is an occult pastor, but with that, I did not see it, so I cannot say it’s true.

“The children told me that the pastor put them naked, and what surprises me is that, even if the children owe you, why would you put them naked?”

He concluded, “What actually he planned off, why will you put them naked? What is in your room that you must bring a spiritual ceramic bowl and put toffee in the children’s mouth? I have thought of it, but I still don’t understand.”
