A 40-year-old man, whose only name was given as Bright, has been stabbed to death by his friend Angolo over GHC 40 at Atonotia in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono Region.
According to Angel News correspondent Eric Amoako, the victim, Bright, was a friend of Angolo, and both lived in the same residence in Berekum East.
During their discussion, Angolo claimed that GHC 180 was missing from his possession, and all parties agreed to split the loss, with each paying GHC 90.
Bright later paid GHC 50, leaving a balance of GHC 40 yet to be settled.
The report indicated that Angolo became angry, leading to a heated exchange during which he demanded the immediate payment of the remaining amount.
In the heat of the confrontation, he stabbed Bright in the neck and ribs.
Following the tragic incident, police arrested Angolo, who is now in custody assisting with investigations and facing prosecution.
