Bereaved families should sue Gov’t and Armed Forces over helicopter crash – Boakye-Danquah

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communications team, Dr. Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, has stated that the helicopter crash report presented by Aircraft Accident Investigation Expert Captain Paul Forjoe should not have been released, as it poses a potential national security threat.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Wednesday, November 11, 2025, Dr. Boakye-Danquah emphasised that the report should have shared necessary information with the public while keeping sensitive details private.

“What I prefer is that the report should have been in two parts: one, letting the public know what they need to know, and two, providing the relevant details to the family or keeping it within the investigative committee because there were lapses,” he argued.

Additionally, Dr. Boakye-Danquah highlighted that the report should have been thoroughly reviewed by President John Dramani Mahama to prevent any shortcomings that could potentially undermine his administration.

“After the report was presented to the President, he should have informed Ghanaians that he would keep it for review to avoid issues within his administration,” he indicated.

He noted that the deaths of these eight gallant individuals are not ordinary; however, Ghanaians should not politicise the matter.
