The manager and representative of former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has shut down viral reports suggesting that former ‘Stars’ talisman Sulley Muntari has been arrested in Dubai.

Anim Addo described these reports as “false”, stating that the retired footballer is safe in the Arab country.

In a statement on X, Mr. Addo explained that Muntari is “focused” on his personal affairs and business activities in the Arab country.

“Sulley Muntari is safe and currently residing in Dubai, where he is focused on his personal affairs and business activities,” he said.

He called on the general public to rubbish such reportage, which he termed falsehood.

“We urge the public to disregard the false reports circulating in the media.”

Mr. Addo threatened a lawsuit against individuals and media outlets responsible for the news if they fail to issue a disclaimer.
