A 21-year-old suspect, Azumah Sampson, has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a firefighter at Adjiringanor, near Ability Square, on Friday, November 14, 2025, while he was on a firefighting operation.
According to the Ghana National Fire Service, Sampson was arrested by fire officers and is currently in Police custody, assisting with investigations.
However, the GNFS has not released further details on the motive behind the attack or the condition of the injured firefighter.
The arrest demonstrates collaborative efforts between the Fire Service and Police to address the incident.
