President John Dramani Mahama has marked his 67th birthday by visiting children on admission at LEKMA Hospital and Maamobi Polyclinic, accompanied by his wife, First Lady Lordina Mahama.
According to his Facebook post, he expressed gratitude to the public for their warm wishes and gifts on his birthday and the “lovely flowers” from his wife.
“I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate my 67th birthday than spending it with some of our young citizens on admission in the hospital,” he wrote.
President Mahama and Lordina visited the children’s wards, bringing items and tokens for the children and their parents.
“Seeing the smiles on their little faces reminded me of why the #ResettingGhana must succeed to build a Ghana where every child has access to quality healthcare and the opportunity to thrive,” he said.
He also thanked the medical staff at both facilities, noting, “You are the ones who make the real difference in the lives of these children and their families.”
