The government has expressed its support for a peace framework proposed by the President of United States of America (USA), Donald Trump aimed at resolving the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

In a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, November 30, 2025, Ghana reaffirmed its commitment to global peace, stability, and international cooperation principles.

The statement highlights Ghana’s belief in the importance of initiatives that prioritize dialogue, mutual respect, and the cessation of hostilities.

According to the Ministry, the proposed peace plan underscores the need to protect civilian lives, restore territorial integrity, and foster conditions for long-term reconciliation between Russia and Ukraine.

Ghana, known for its tradition of peacekeeping and mediation, expressed readiness to support constructive efforts advancing these goals.

The government encourages all parties involved in the conflict to engage in negotiations in good faith, prioritizing the welfare of their people above political differences.

The Ministry further reiterated Ghana’s allegiance to working alongside regional and global partners to ensure that peace, security, and prosperity prevail in every part of the world.
