The Ministry of Health has announced that more than 6,000 newly recruited nurses have now received their salaries.

In a press release titled “Updates on Nurses’ Salary Payment and Medical Officers’ Posting,” the Ministry said the payments cover part of the full cohort of 13,500 nurses recruited nationwide.

According to the statement, the Ministry is continuing processes to resolve all remaining administrative issues.

It assured stakeholders that “all outstanding administrative matters will be duly addressed.”

The ministry also commends the newly posted medical officers  who have reported to their designated duty stations.
