Young Ghanaian beautician and former Talented Kids contestant, Nelissa Sackey, also known as Stylish Nelissa, has revealed her ambition to pursue two major professional careers alongside her growing passion for beauty.

In an exclusive interview on the Angel Drive show on Monday, December 8, 2025, Nelissa opened up about her long-term goals and the inspiration behind them.

“I want to become a lawyer and also a surgeon,” she said confidently.

When asked how her plans to combine the beautician with the two demanding professions, Nelissa explained that she believes in the power of determination and faith.

“I believe that everything you put your mind to, you can achieve it, because my favourite quote from Poet Real states that if you want something, all of the universe conspires to help you achieve it. So with the help of God and with my own hardworking determination, I believe I can also achieve that,” she added.

Stylish Nelissa also took the opportunity to address the negative perceptions surrounding the beauty industry in Ghana. She highlighted that many people still assume beauticians or hairdressers are uneducated, a stereotype she says must be corrected.

“What will help the beauty industry is when Ghanaians stop the perception that hairdressers are not educated. If that narrative is changed, it will help push the industry to another level,” she said.

She further explained that the field requires more academic knowledge than people realize.

“In hairdressing, you have to be very educated, especially in mathematics and science, because when it comes to hair growth experts, you need to know how to keep the hair in a good and healthy state,” she added.
