Mahama to receive Bawku mediation report on December 16

Asantehene to submit mediation report on Bawku conflict to Prez Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama is expected to receive the official report and recommendations on the Bawku conflict mediation from His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in the coming days.

Tuesday, December 16, 2025, has been scheduled for the presentation to be done.

The presentation, scheduled for 4:00 PM at the Presidency, follows months of engagement led by the Asantehene to help resolve the protracted conflict in the Bawku area.

A statement issued by the Presidency Communications and signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications on Tuesday, December 9, confirmed the upcoming meeting.

The report is expected to outline findings and proposals from the Asantehene’s mediation process, which was initiated at the request of President Mahama.
