Prioritize youth development over Kpandai vacant seat- Aaron Asiedu to NDC

Communications team member for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Aaron Asiedu Antwi, has said that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government should focus on the Ghanaian youth instead of the vacant Kpandai seat.

He emphasised that the well-being of Ghanaian youth should be paramount to the John Dramani Mahama-led administration.

Speaking on Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, he remarked that the Kpandai constituency should not be a priority for the NDC government.

“When we discuss priorities, Kpandai shouldn’t even be on your list because the young people of Ghana are suffering,” he stated.

He further criticized the misuse of funds for by-elections, citing the expenditure of Gh¢790.00 to conduct elections from Ablekuma North to Akwatia.

“When we talk about Kpandai, no one fears elections there. When it comes to development, you can sit here and applaud yourself for bringing progress to your constituency, but come and see the advancements Mathew Nyindam -NPP incumbent MP has achieved in Kpandai. Your [NDC] MP, who has been in office for four years, has done nothing.

“But the truth is that development should not merely be a matter of rhetoric; procedures must be followed, or we will all become a tit-for-tat government,” he highlighted.
