Aide to Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, Ellen Ama Daaku has said that individuals arrested for alleged cyber fraud brought it upon themselves due to their reckless and unwise actions.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS), on Monday, December 15, 2025, she added that some of these scammers often flaunt the money they have fraudulently acquired, by living lavishly and displaying their wealth in public.

“This generation of scammers I don’t know if they’re fools or what, they post on social media that they’re scammers, in fact they deserve to be arrested because they are fools only a fool will publicly,” she emphasized.

According to Madam Daaku, many of these scammers who openly display wealth lack proper education, which is why they may not realize the risks involved, making them easily identifiable and suspicious.

“if they were serious with school and had some education they would have known that it is stupid to display huge sums of money publicly,” she alleged.

She added that, that due to their lack of education, these fraudsters fail to invest the money to conceal their criminal activities, which could have make them less detectable.

“Because they are not educated, if you get this kind of money you should use it for investment, because if they have invested it they could have covered it and make it difficult for them to be traced,” she said.
