Former Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Professor Kwadwo Nimfour Opoku Onyinah, has taken to social media to celebrate 50 years of marriage and full-time ministry, marking what he describes as a testament to God’s enduring faithfulness.
In a heartfelt post shared on his Facebook page, Apostle Prof. Onyinah reflected on his wedding, which took place on February 1, 1976, at The Church of Pentecost in Sunyani. He revealed that the marriage ceremony, officiated by Apostle Patrick Asiama, was simple but deeply rooted in divine purpose.
According to renowned Ghanaian theologian and televangelist, the union did not only mark the beginning of a lifelong partnership with his wife, Grace, but also became the gateway into their calling to full-time ministry within The Church of Pentecost. He noted that the call to ministry came in April 1976, just months after their marriage, and by August the same year, they were posted to Wa to officially begin their ministerial journey.
“This year, therefore, we joyfully celebrate 50 years of marriage and 50 years of full-time ministry. Truly, the Lord has been faithful,” he wrote.
The respected theologian expressed profound gratitude to his wife, describing her as a pillar throughout the decades. He also extended appreciation to their mentors, children, family members, and friends for their prayers, support, and companionship over the years.
“My deepest appreciation goes to my dear wife, Grace, our mentors, children, family, and friends: thank you for walking with us, praying for us, and supporting us through the years. We have come this far only by the grace of God,” he stated.
Apostle Prof. Onyinah concluded his message by attributing their journey and accomplishments solely to God’s grace, declaring, “We have come this far only by the grace of God. To God be all the glory.”
