The police has recovered a stolen vehicle and other exhibits following an intelligence-led operation into a residential robbery incident.

On December 4, 2025, armed men attacked a complainant in her room, stealing her Toyota Hilux pick-up, an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and other belongings.

Through sustained intelligence gathering, police identified a suspect, Clement Kofi Aidoo (also known as Joseph Abequaye, Yaw, and Paddy).

The suspect attempted to attack officers but was shot and injured during the encounter.

He was rushed to the Police Hospital for treatment, where he was pronounced dead.

Police retrieved the stolen Toyota Hilux pick-up, the complainant’s phone, and several documents from the suspect. Investigations also revealed the suspect had previously absconded with a Toyota Camry vehicle belonging to a police officer in November 2025.
