Haruna Iddrisu, accident victims all in stable condition – Education Ministry

Minister for Education Haruna Iddrisu and his entourage, who were involved in an accident earlier in the day on the Bolgatanga–Tumu highway, are responding to treatment, the Ministry has confirmed in an official communiqué.

The Minister, Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Technology, Mohammed Adams Sukparu, and their team had an accident on Thursday, February 12, 2026, while travelling in a convoy.

The team was on official duty to the Upper West Region for an engagement marking the 40th anniversary celebrations of Tumu College of Education and Jahan College of Education.

An official statement signed by the Press Secretary to the Minister for Education, Hashmin Mohammed, indicated that the accident victims were “Both in stable condition.”

The statement also assured the public that all members on board the convoy are safe and receiving the necessary medical attention.

It thanked emergency responders, including health professionals and members of the public, for their swift assistance and concern.

“Furher details will be communicated, as neccessary,” portion of the statement said.
