I began my music career through prophecy – Efua Black

Emerging Ghanaian gospel musician Efua Black has stated that prophecies can fail if the person who receives them does not accept or act on them.

She made this remark in an interview on Angel Drive on Angel FM.

She said that although prophecies are spiritual revelations, their manifestation largely depends on the recipient.

“Prophecy can fail if the recipient doesn’t receive it or accept it. God has given us free will, so it depends on the receiver,” she said.

According to the singer, some prophecies do not come to pass because the individuals involved are not spiritually or mentally prepared for them.

“I know people who have been given prophecies, and they have died without them materializing. It didn’t manifest because they were not ready for it,” she noted.

Madam Efua, who has often attributed her music journey to prophecy, disclosed that whenever she receives a prophetic word, she seeks confirmation through prayer.

“For me, when I receive a prophetic word, I pray to God for confirmation. When I heard the first prophecy, God said, ‘This is the journey I have placed before you.’ For five years, I was still praying for confirmation,” she revealed.

She emphasized that as a spiritual person, it is important to pray for confirmation and readiness after receiving a prophecy.
