The management of Ghanaian singer Efya, has denied reports that she has secretly gotten married.

Speaking on an interview, her team said the viral videos were taken at an after-party following a knocking ceremony, not a wedding.

They explained that a knocking ceremony is only the first step in the traditional marriage process and does not mean the couple is married.

“The whole thing was not supposed to come out. Many people have knocking ceremonies and nothing happens afterwards. The family has not finished the process, so why call it a marriage? This can even put unnecessary pressure on them,” the management said.

Rumours started on February 14, 2026, after videos online claimed the singer had married at a private house in Trassaco Phase in Accra.

But her team says she is not married and asked the public to ignore the rumours. They added that Efya is currently focused on her music career.
