Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, encouraged nationwide participation, inviting diplomats to immerse themselves in Ghana’s traditions and culture.

“This is our month; It is a time to reconnect with our roots, celebrate our diversity, and project Ghana confidently to the world,” she said on Monday, March 2, 2026.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Maame Efua Houadjeto, echoed the sentiment, saying, “Let us eat Ghanaian, wear Ghanaian, and be truly Ghanaian.”

She highlighted heritage’s role in driving tourism, creating jobs, and deepening national pride.

The launch featured cultural performances, traditional attire, and a display of Ghanaian identity, setting the tone for a month-long celebration of Ghana’s history, creativity, and cultural excellence under the theme “Experience Ghana, My Heritage, My Pride, Taste 69 at 69”.

As part of the activities, the historic Vodza Regatta was officially launched, highlighting Ghana’s maritime traditions and adding to the Heritage Month celebrations.

Ghanaians have been encouraged to check the Ministry and its agencies’ websites for the full Cultural month’s celebration schedule.

March 13 and 14 have also been designated Ghana Culture Day, happening at the National Theatre of Ghana.
