Former Member of the German Parliament, Volkmar Klein, has emphasized that the Krombacher-Adonko relationship is pivotal for both nations.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on ‘Anɔpa Bɔfoɔ’ on Angel TV/FM on Thursday, March 5, 2026, he stated that the partnership will significantly enhance the economic ties between Ghana and Germany.

“There’s a strong and sound foundation of personal relationships, friendships, and shared values, this gives us the opportunity to substantially enlarge our economic relationship,” Mr. Klein remarked.

He revealed that this relationship has created considerable potential, and both countries must take advantage of it.

“I think there is a lot of space and we should make use of this,” he added.

According to him, implementing open borders within Africa will help realize many initiatives that currently exist only on paper.

“Open borders within Africa would be even really much helpful, until now there are more on paper than really existing,” he noted.

Mr. Klein also conveyed that this partnership will fulfill the vision of former President Kufuor, who always advocated for open borders for people and goods across Africa.

“This is a wish of former President Kuffour, he always tried to work for open borders for people and goods in Africa and this would be even better for the future,” he stated.

He reiterated the importance of Ghana as a strategic hub for German companies, not only to operate within Ghana but also to extend their reach throughout the entire region.
