The Member of Parliament (MP) for Anyaa-Sowutuom, Emmanuel Tobbin has called on the nation to unite for prosperity and development.

In his speech during the 69th Independence Day celebration held at Antieku, Mr.Tobbin stated that the freedom and independence, fought for us by our forefathers, came with responsibility.

“We thank God for how far he has brought us as a nation; the 69th year our forefathers, led by Dr. Kwamen Nkrumah fought for our freedom and declared Ghana is free forever.

“That freedom came with responsibility; it is now our duty to protect it and make our country a better place for all of us,” he said.

He emphasized that it is now the duty of every Ghanaian to protect that freedom and work to make the country a better place for all.
