The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has received a transformative donation of GHS 1,000,000 from FuelTrade Ghana Limited, a solely owned Ghanaian Bulk Distribution Company (BDC).

Presenting the cheque on behalf of Fueltrade, Ms. Christabel Sewornu, Chief Human Resource Manager, pointed out that this partnership presents them an opportunity to support impactful and sustainable educational interventions, particularly in the areas of scholarship and infrastructure which are essential elements for youth empowerment.

As part of the partnership framework, he disclosed that GETFund has negotiated with the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) to ensure that donations to the Fund qualified for tax deductions under the Income Tax Act 2015 (ACT 896).

Such an arrangement, according to Mr. Adjei enables corporate entities to fulfil their corporate social responsibilities while supporting national educational priorities, assuring that “this and other donations will be utilized with efficiency and full accountability, and regular updates and impact reports will be shared with the public through GETFund’s official platforms.”
