Counsellor Lutterodt has reportedly been arrested by the Ghana Police Service over alleged incitement to violence after remarks about Daddy Lumba’s burial.
Sources indicate that the outspoken counsellor is being held for allegedly inciting violence under the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29), as well as for offensive conduct conducive to a breach of the peace under Section 207 of the same Act.
The reported arrest follows controversial comments Lutterodt made during a live radio programme over the weekend concerning claims that the late musician had been buried at his private residence in East Legon.
During the broadcast, he called on residents, particularly young Ga men, to storm the musician’s residence to verify the alleged burial.
His remarks quickly sparked widespread criticism on social media, with many members of the public condemning the comments as reckless and capable of provoking mob action.
Critics argued that the statement could potentially incite vigilante behaviour, unlawful entry, and destruction of property, prompting what sources describe as swift intervention from law enforcement authorities.
Lutterodt is expected to assist investigators with ongoing inquiries and may be arraigned before court if charges are formally filed.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Police Service is yet to officially confirm the arrest, although a photo circulating online purportedly shows the counsellor in handcuffs.
