The Bank of Ghana held a closed-door session with the National Bank of Rwanda on Africa’s next-generation Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI).
In a post, the Second Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Matilda Asante-Asiedu, noted that the meeting aimed to enhance financial inclusion in Africa.
“Our discussions focused on strengthening cross-border payment systems, deepening interoperability, and ensuring that Africa’s digital infrastructure remains inclusive, secure, and scalable,” she said.
She highlighted that, the forum brought together policymakers, regulators, innovators, and industry leaders to advance dialogue in the future of inclusive finance across Africa.
Mrs. Asante-Asiedu explained that the momentum from the engagements provides a strong foundation as preparations begin for the 3i Africa Summit in May. She expressed her excitement to be a part of the forum in Kigali

“I look forward to continuing these important conversations as we work collectively to unlock Africa’s full digital and financial potential,” she said.
