Police deployed across celebration grounds to ensure peaceful Eid-ul-Fitr

‎The Accra Regional Police Command has deployed adequate police personnel across the region for the Eid-ul-Fitr celebration.
‎
‎A statement released by the Police, on Thursday, March 19, 2026, noted that the arrangements is to ensure a peaceful and incident free celebrations.
‎
‎It highlighted that, Police personnel have been allocated to strategic locations, including mosques, Eid prayer grounds, major roads, markets, transport terminals, and other public places to protect lives and property.
‎
‎”Special traffic management teams have also been detailed to regulate vehicular movement before, during, and after the prayers and festivities to ease congestion and promote road safety.
‎
‎”In addition, patrol teams will intensify visibility policing within communities to deter crime and respond promptly to emergencies,” the statement informed.
‎
‎The Police Command urged the public to remain security-conscious, cooperate with deployed personnel, and promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest Police Station.
‎
The statement also cautioned motorists and pedestrians to adhere to traffic regulations to ensure a safe and orderly celebration.
‎
The Accra Regional Police Command further wished all Muslims and the general public a peaceful and joyous Eid-ul-Fitr celebration.
