No man has given me heartbreak as painful as Black Stars – Ama Daaku

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ellen Ama Daaku, revealed that Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, caused her heartbreak unlike any other.

According to her, the disappointment of supporting the Stars wholeheartedly broke her into pieces some years ago.

The NPP’s communication team member said what she experienced in 2010 was more painful than anything she could have felt from a romantic partner.

“Those of you following the Black Stars with your heart, I urge you to find some metal to safeguard it. I stopped following them after 2010. I vowed that even if they were to play in heaven, I would never risk my heart again, because of the kind of heartbreak they gave me.

“No man has ever broken me like that. They can, and they will, break your heart,” she told Saddick Adams on Angel TV.

Madam Daaku regrettably emphasized that the disappointment she endured was overwhelming.

“The kind of pain they left me with in 2010 still lingers.”

She shared this on Monday, March 30, 2026, ahead of the Black Stars’ international friendly against European powerhouse Germany.

Talking about her expectations for the upcoming match, she predicted doom for the Stars, linking it to their loss to Austria last week.

“If Austria can score five goals against the Black Stars, then imagine what Germany would do.”
