Seven people, including a Sprinter driver, sustained various injuries in a head-on collision at Moree Junction in the Central Region on Friday, March 27, 2026.

The crash involved a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with registration number GW 7746-25 and a Trailer with registration number GW 3028-19.

Personnel from the Cape Coast Metropolitan Fire Station responded swiftly after receiving a distress call at the Moree toll booth and arrived at the scene to carry out the rescue operation.

Upon arrival, firefighters extricated the trapped driver and attended to six other casualties.

According to the GNFS, all the victims were subsequently transported to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for medical treatment.

The Service said that the collision caused partial damage to both vehicles, while the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
